Emma is a senior and second-year member of the BluePrints staff. She served as Entertainment Editor during her junior year and is currently serving as Editor-in-Chief. Emma plans to major in English and become a writer or editor. She is a cheerleader and enjoys reading, baking, watching “The Office” and spending time with her sisters.
This is Josie’s first year as a BluePrints staff member. Journalism interested her because it is a good and well-rounded background to have for the future. Not only it will provide her with a wide range of new writing styles and using creativity. The plans for Josie after senior year consist of majoring in Business and Finance. While Josie is not studying, she is often found on the track during the spring and during off-season.
Kenzie is a senior and a second-year member of the BluePrints staff. She joined because she enjoyed the class last year and hopes to continue to improve her writing skills. Kenzie is a cheerleader and enjoys watching “The Office,” attending concerts and drinking coffee.
Alyssa is a junior and a first-year member of the BluePrints staff. She joined the BluePrints staff to improve her writing abilities and see if journalism would interest her for the future. Alyssa runs cross country and track and field. In her free time she enjoys reading, being with friends, shopping at T.J. Maxx and watching various television shows such as “How I Met Your Mother” and “The Office.” She plans on attending college, but is unsure where or what she wants to study.
Hannah is a senior and a second-year member of the BluePrints Staff. She joined the staff to build on her writing and creativity. She enjoys writing opinion and feature stories for the magazine. She is a tennis player and enjoys hanging with friends and watching Netflix.
Kylee is a senior and first-year member of the BluePrints staff. She joined the class to learn more about how to interview and create an interesting story about her community. She runs on the track and cross country team and enjoys activities like hiking and kayaking.
Jack is a senior and first-year member of the Blueprints staff. He joined Journalism because he wanted to become more involved in his school and community. He runs track and cross country and enjoys playing pickup sports and keeping up on sports news. After high school, he plans to go to college and get an education. He can be found running, relaxing or playing pickup sports.
Sara is a junior and first-year BluePrints member. Sara enjoys activities such as lacrosse, running, hiking, traveling and watching Netflix. She has played lacrosse since the fourth grade and is looking forward to the upcoming season. She has joined the BluePrints staff to expand her writing skills and further explore her interest in journalism.
Elijah is a senior and a second-year member of the BluePrints staff. He enjoys Journalism because of the freedom to write how he wants to. He enjoys writing about all sports and hopes to one day pursue a career in sports media/journalism. He plays on the basketball team and in his free time he enjoys watching Netflix or hanging out with his friends.
Keegan is a junior and a first-year member of the BluePrints staff. He joined the staff because he heard it was a fun class and wanted to become a better writer. Keegan is a football player and wrestler. He enjoys spending time with friends and family in his free time.
Riley is a senior and a second-year member of the BluePrints staff. She joined journalism to expand her writing, and enjoys writing entertainment pieces. Riley plans to attend college to study business management and marketing. She is a cheerleader and enjoys watching “Gossip Girl,” drinking coffee and hanging out with her friends.
Mrs. Tolbert got her start in journalism as the features editor of her college newspaper. She briefly considered a career in the media after completing internships at KDKA-TV and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, but then she fell in love with teaching English. A student publication adviser for almost twenty years, she received specialized training in teaching journalism as a 2003 ASNE Summer Institute fellow
